TCSPC Measurement

WITec GmbH has launched StrobeLock, a time-correlated single-photon-counting (TCSPC) measurement option. Modes include fluorescence lifetime imaging and time-resolved luminescence microscopy (FLIM and TRLM), which can be integrated with the WITec alpha300 and alpha500 microscope series.

StrobeLock enables the acquisition of material contrasts hidden in the time function of a fluorescence or luminescence signal and allows them to be linked with Raman, scanning near-field optical microscopy or AFM imaging. It provides a variety of measurement possibilities for a more comprehensive understanding of a sample’s properties and is specifically suited for materials science.

The instrument combines a pulsed excitation laser system with a TCSPC detector. The ability to switch between time-resolved and conventional mode enables users to choose the preferred measurement technique.
