Horiba Scientific has announced Silver OMNI TERS Probes to maximize nanoRaman tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS).

The TERS probes enable all modes of operation such as top, side and bottom optical access. Made of bulk noble metal or with a multilayer coating on atomic force microscopy tips, the TERS probes are delivered in a protective package to maximize shelf life. The probes can reach >40× improved contrast versus tip up, leading to an enhancement factor of up to 106.

Used in conjunction with Horiba’s nanoRaman systems, the probes are guaranteed to produce Raman signal enhancement at 633/638 nm on a reliable test sample. Combining the nanoRaman system with the TERS probes provides the highest enhancement TERS solution, down to 10-nm resolution and lower.
