The TIS-SF-787 enables key operation in hands-free mode, making possible the automation of tuning procedures and smooth frequency scanning. The ultranarrow linewidth expands the market for new applications in research areas such as atomic cooling and optical pumping, and in technologies such as optical metrology and direct-write lithography. The wavelength range of 690 to 1000 nm can be expanded into the 345- to 500-nm domain using the company’s resonant frequency doubler.
