A time-resolved Forster resonance energy transfer (TR-FRET) high-throughput screening assay from BellBrook Labs is designed for use with for UDP-producing enzymes.

The device relies on direct detection of reaction products and is designed specifically to identify glycosyltransferase inhibitors for use as molecular probes and as potential drug scaffolds.

It allows detection of human and microbial enzymes with potential for the therapeutic interest of cancer, inherited metabolic disorders, infectious diseases and other debilitating diseases.
