The compact Halo trace gas analyzer, based on cavity ringdown spectroscopy, has been introduced by Tiger Optics LLC for use by gas suppliers, fabrication engineers, laboratory managers, quality control contractors and toolmakers for detecting contaminants. Dynamic range is from low single-digit parts per billion to parts per million. It uses RS-422, Ethernet and optional wireless communications, has no moving parts and does not require calibration. It is available for moisture, methane, oxygen, ammonia and other species and, the company says, has a quick response time and is highly accurate.
