SMXInsight4 software for coordinate measuring machines can be used to enhance the line of Laser Trackers from SMX Corp. The latest version includes a faster tracker compensation module and an interface to theodolite networks. Another interface allows the use of CATIA data in addition to Initial Graphic Exchange Specification translations. A bundle adjustment capability orients measurements with a real-world model despite shifts in the relative positions of the tracker, the object being measured and any theodolites that are being used.
