Gothic-arch-bearing linear translation stages introduced by New Focus Inc. are made of stainless steel for stability and have thumbscrew locks for rigidity. The ball bearings sit in guides with a Gothic-arch profile that provides four points of contact, resulting in more even distribution of load and momentum. Side-mounted micrometer clamps decrease the footprint. The stages can be stacked or combined with rotation and goniometer stages. Model 9061 measures 25 × 25 mm and offers 6.5-mm travel. Model 9062 measures 40 × 40 mm, with 13-mm travel, and model 9063 measures 65 × 65 mm, with 26-mm travel. They can carry up to 3, 9 and 18 kg, respectively.
