Compatible with existing controllers and accessories, Pfeiffer Vacuum GmbH has added the MPT 100 transmitter to the DigiLine series vacuum instruments. Matched to exclude contamination risks, the device is equipped with Pirani and cold-cathode-sensor technologies to provide a 5 × 10–9 to 1000-mbar measurement range and insensitivity to gas inrush. Digital measurement allows users to control the cold-cathode sensor via an external software command for minimal vacuum-process interference and for accuracy comparable to that of hot cathodes.
