A color-tunable digital light source introduced by Gamma Scientific is suitable for photometric and radiometric calibrations and for use as a standard for verifying the performance of solid-state light sources, photodiodes, imaging systems and CCD/CMOS sensors and cameras. The RS-5M offers 16-bit color-tunable spectral output with up to eight spectral channels, providing broadband output from 380 to 1000 nm. It measures charge capacity, electronic gain, responsivity, saturation, noise equivalent power, quantum efficiency, nonlinearity and equivalent ASA speed. The company says its all-solid-state design and NIST-traceable calibration allow the color coordinates and spectrum displayed to match the emission of the light source.
