Gigabit Ethernet Cameras
To increase the flexibility of machine vision systems and allow control over custom-designed LED illumination, Baumer Ltd. has introduced advanced Gigabit Ethernet cameras outfitted with four independent input/output (I/O) ports located adjacent to the trigger and flash connection. The TXG cameras feature I/O ports with customizable pulse width-modulated (PWM) signals. The ports allow a direct connection between the camera and the illumination module, eliminating PC control over lighting.
The camera’s internal PWM controller can be programmed to set both the duty cycle and the frequency of the modulated signal. Each independent port provides a current of 100 mA. The internal sequencer technology allows the camera to take pictures with different settings for gain and exposure, and to control illumination without a PC, ensuring fast and reliable operation. The cameras are available with resolutions ranging from VGA to 5 megapixels, and they operate at rates of up to 90 fps.
They output 8- and 12-bit image data and are available in nine monochrome and nine color versions. All are equipped with a Sony sensor in ?-, ½-, ?- or 1/1.8-in. format, depending upon the model, and all have RGB and YUV interpolation algorithms onboard.
