TETTNANG, Germany, Sept. 22, 2015 — Temperature SensorThe OptoTemp temperature sensor from wenglor sensoric GmbH measures temperatures within a –25 °C to 350 °C range on the basis of IR radiation emitted by the object, regardless of the material or aggregation state.

The sensor measures temperature with a spectral sensitivity of 8 to 14 μm, using an integrated operable display. An analog and two switching outputs are featured. An integrated laser alignment tool and teachable emission factor make initial startup quick and easy.

Applications include conventional-target versus actual-value monitoring of liquids and raw masses, process control for the prevention of temperature violations at nonmetallic surfaces, and the monitoring of engines and system components in the automotive industry.
