Toptica_080604_cw_THz_Setup.jpgToptica Photonics AG has unveiled a frequency control package for the generation of continuous wave terahertz radiation based on distributed feedback (DFB) diode technology. The system has a tuning range of 0 to 1.8 THz. The company offers three product packages: basic, which includes two tunable DFB lasers with fiber optic beam combination and low-noise driving electronics; high power, which includes a semiconductor amplifier that boosts the two-color laser output into the 500-mW range; and precision frequency control, which includes a patented interferometric stabilization technique that adjusts frequencies.
