The newly developed PI400 and PI450 from Optris GmbH are additions to the company's family of online infrared cameras. Measuring 56 x 46 x 90 mm, they weigh 320 g, with the lens included. Thermal sensitivity is 80 mK for the former and 40 mK for the latter. Radiometric thermal images and infrared videos can be displayed and recorded at full 382 x 288-pixel resolution at 80 fps. The company says that, compared with other infrared cameras, four times more pixels are available for the same target surface area. In combination with the appropriate lens assembly, with a 30° or 13° aperture, the cameras enable more detailed measurements and widen the field of applications. The rugged thermal imagers are IP67- and NEMA4-rated.
