MEER, Belgium, July 6, 2018 — Thermal Imaging CameraThe FLIR GF309 thermal imaging camera from Flir Systems GmbH enables high-temperature measurement in industrial furnaces, chemical heaters, and coal-fired boilers, without the need to shut down the operation.

The portable camera also improves operator safety by measuring through flames at a safe distance, for all types of furnaces. Knowledge of the furnace conditions can avert failures and unscheduled shutdowns.

The FLIR GF309 measures temperatures from −40 to 1500° C, with high accuracy across the range. To protect the camera and the operator, the camera has a contoured, nickel-coated heat shield to reflect the heat. It is ideal for a range of extreme temperature applications, including inspecting tubes for reduced heat transfer caused by scale buildup and localized tube failure from overheating.
