Optimized IR lenses for thermal imaging applications have been announced by Resolve Optics Ltd.

Designed for thermal imaging cameras and sensors operating in the mid-wave and long-wave IR bands, the customized lenses find use in diagnostic, non-destructive testing, security, and surveillance applications. Drawing upon germanium, sapphire, silicon, or zinc selenide substrates, the devices can be supplied with anti-reflection coatings to optimize performance in different parts of the IR waveband.
