Aerospace and defense client projects include a range of technologies and applications, for example:   
  • NASA worked with Optikos to develop a system to characterize visible wavelength lenses used in the RESTORE-L payload. Watch the NASA video of this exciting mission that allows the RESTORE-L robotic spacecraft to "rendezvous with, grasp, refuel and relocate a government-owned satellite to extend its life."   
  • Optikos designed, developed and delivered an advanced, large-scale, remotely-operated production guidance system testing platform to a high-volume manufacturer of defense electro-optical systems. Our client was able to replace multiple, manually-operated test platforms, and greatly improve optical performance and mechanical integrity of the system, as well as improving cycle times and reducing operational expenses.   
  • Rapid prototypes that required simultaneous imaging at five different wavebands, including precise alignment, athermal performance and a single objective lens delivering multiple images to multiple cameras were provided to a customer with a tight delivery schedule.   
  • Afocal, temperature testing, and other OpTest® Lens Testing System modules are used for critical defense applications, along with compact LWIR lens testing with the LensCheck™ instrument. Get started at optikos.com.
