We are excited to announce the release of TracePro 2023, the latest version of our award-winning software at Lambda Research Corporation. This new version boasts a variety of new and enhanced features, including a new geometric modeler, additional surface types and apertures for the Lens Element tool, dynamic highlighting and tooltips for surface identification, and a new option to apply material and bulk scatter properties to the environment.
Additionally, TracePro 2023 now includes several CAD and lens design importers and STEP, IGES, and SAT file translators at no extra charge. The software combines a graphical user interface with solid modeling, Monte Carlo ray tracing, optimization methods, and a macro language to solve a wide range of illumination and optical design problems. It goes beyond simple ray tracing to offer advanced tools for designing medical devices, automotive lighting, illumination, display backlights, and more.
With Photorealistic Rendering capability, designers can visualize the appearance of their design before physically building a prototype. TracePro is also a robust tool for analyzing non-imaging aspects of imaging systems, such as stray light and polarization. Its features include simulation of surface effects like absorption, specular reflection and transmission, and scattering, and bulk properties like absorption, scattering, and fluorescence.
Lambda Research Corporation offers a comprehensive, cost-effective solution for optical and illumination design, with TracePro® and RayViz™, an add-in for SOLIDWORKS that provides a bridge to TracePro and optical ray tracing in SOLIDWORKS. Our opto-mechanical software is distinguished by its ease-of-use, CAD interface, and accuracy in illumination design.
