Edmund Optics has introduced its TechSpec single-axis translation stages featuring a crossed-roller guide system that provides higher accuracy, rigidity and load capacity. The precision stages offer exact positioning with a straight-line accuracy of 2 μm. A single-piece design combining the top and bottom plate with the guide rails further enhances rigidity and accuracy. Offered in either English or metric configurations with solid tabletop and through-hole models, the stages are available in 30-, 40-, 70- and 125-mm versions. Each is designed to integrate with the other size stages as well as with other TechSpec components for greater flexibility, allowing the user to configure the system in numerous arrangements in up to six-axis configurations. Applications include laser and vision systems, microscopy and automation.
