COLUMBIA, Md., Aug. 1, 2016 — Transparent Electric SystemSolarWindows Technologies Inc. has announced the transparent Intra-Connection System for transporting electricity within the company’s electricity-generating windows for tall towers and skyscrapers.

The SolarWindow generates electricity when its transparent organic coatings are applied in thin layers onto glass surfaces. The Intra-Connection System moves electricity within these electricity-generating coatings to invisible wires that transport electricity across the surface to the edge of the glass, where it’s connected to building electrical systems.

The system creates ultrafine features that are approximately 50 μm wide and nearly invisible, ensuring a smooth, efficient pathway for the flow of electricity.
