TEL AVIV, Israel, Dec. 31, 2021 — TransponderThe PL-4000G 4.8T Transponder from PacketLight Networks transports a flexible mix of 400-GbE and 100-GbE client services over 400-G wavelengths for high-capacity data center interconnect applications.

The modular, standards-based device increases network capacity and enables flexible pay-as-you-grow architecture by delivering up to 12×400-GbE or up to 48×100-GbE client services using QSFPDD-SR8/LR8 or QDFPDD-DR4/FR8 standard MSA pluggable modules, respectively. The device supports 400ZR and OpenZR+ standards with industry-standard concatenated forward error correction and open forward error correction.

The transponder integrates multiplexer/demultiplexer, two erbium-doped fiber amplifiers and an optical switch, delivering the entire dense wavelength division multiplexer/optical terminal multiplexer end-to-end infrastructure solution in a 1U form factor.
