Transponder/MuxponderThe PL-4000T transponder/muxponder from PacketLight Networks Ltd. delivers any mix of 100-GbE, OTU4 or 400-GbE services over 400-G wavelengths for high-capacity data center interconnects, metro, and long-haul applications for service providers, enterprise, campus, government, and cloud computing networks.

The modular, standards-based device increases network capacity and enables flexible pay-as-you-grow architecture by delivering either a 4×100-GbE muxponder or 1×400-GbE transponder/slice using pluggable optical modules. In addition, the PL-4000T strengthens data security by supporting Layer-1 encryption based on GCM-AES-256 standards and Diffie-Hellman Key Exchange.

Standard MSA-pluggable modules such as QSFPDD, CPF2-DCO, and QSFPDD-DCO are supported, along with the industry-standard OFEC and CFEC. The solution integrates erbium-doped fiber amplifier, mux/demux, and an optical switch for fiber protection.
