Tunable Edge FiltersSemrock Inc. has announced the VersaChrome Edge tunable long- and short-pass filters for fluorescence microscopy, hyperspectral imaging, spectroscopy applications and filter prototyping.

The three families of filters create the equivalent of a single passband filter in visible or near-infrared wavelengths, allowing edge positions and passband width to be fine-tuned for maximum brightness, contrast and signal-to-noise ratio in real time.

Bandpass filter design and spectral optimization reduce the time needed to identify the optimal bandpass filter shape for a given application and minimize new filter development costs for OEM instrumentation applications.
