ANDOVER, Mass., April 28, 2022 — MKS Instruments Inc.’s Spectra-Physics Matisse® C high-power ultranarrow linewidth tunable laser is updated and combined with the WaveTrain® 3D high-power continuous-wave doubler for an ultranarrow linewidth UV-to-VIS tunable laser platform with automated tuning from 335 to 525 nm, output powers up to >2.5 W UV, and linewidths down to <40 kHz.

The Matisse C laser with the BBE-OPT option enables 668- to 1068-nm hands-free tuning with up to >7.2 W output power and down to <20 kHz linewidths. The WaveTrain 3D doubler platform features fully digital electronics with touchscreen and optional graphical user computer interface. The sealed design enables inert gas purging for long-term power stability and acoustic noise resistance. All mirror mounts and other optics are directly bolted to the baseplate, for excellent long-term stability.
