KOMAKI, Japan, Aug. 10, 2015 — Santec Corp. has announced the TSL-550 tunable laser, which features wide, high-resolution, mode-hop-free tuning.

The output combines both high power and a high signal-to-noise ratio. Equipped with fine tuning and coherence control, the TSL-500 is fully programmable for precision optical testing with a cavity designed to lower the optical amplified spontaneous emission noise for a signal-to-noise ratio of more than 90 dB/0.1 nm. A high output power of over +10 dBm is maintained.

The device is designed to improve production inspection throughput by doubling the scan repetition rate of conventional lasers.
