IRVINE, Calif., May 31, 2019 — Tunnel Diode DetectorsTunnel diode detectors from Pasternack cover broadband frequencies ranging from 100 MHz to 26 GHz and exhibit fast-pulse response rise times.

The series consists of 26 models that feature rugged germanium planar construction and operate over octave and broadband frequencies. These zero-biased designs are available in both positive and negative video output polarities, offering high dynamic range with efficient low-level signal detection. An extremely fast pulse response rise time of 5 nsec is featured with a maximum input power handling of +17 dBm. A flat video output response is seen across wide frequency bands over a maximum temperature range of -65° to +115° C.

The detectors are ideal for prototype and proof-of-concept uses in aerospace, defense, commercial radar, test and measurement, satellite, and communications applications.
