QUEBEC CITY, Feb. 4, 2013 — Gentec Electro-Optics Inc. has launched a high-power detector that reads up to 2500 W of average power.

The UP55C-2.5KW-HD measures very low and very high powers, thanks to a noise level of 200 mW. Rise time is 3.5 s when used with one of the company’s power monitors. The detector is 48 mm deep.

Effective aperture is 55 mm Ø, and damage threshold is 6 kW/cm2 at 2500 W.
