Edmund Optics Inc. has expanded its USB 2.0 intelligent machine vision camera line to include the Harsh Environment (HE) and Lite Edition (LE) versions.
The two cameras feature ultra-compact housing, progressive scanning, adjustable frame rates and an easy-to-use software interface. The software allows users to set a specified area of interest, gain, exposure time, frame rate, trigger delay and digital output flash delay and duration. It can also perform edge enhancement, image mirroring, image binning in both vertical and horizontal direction and hot pixel correction. They include Direct Show, ActiveX and TWAIN drivers, and SDK documentation.
The HE cameras feature a sealed, rugged housing suitable for harsh environments and protection from electromagnetic interference. The USB and I/O signals are connected via two connectors and the cameras are suitable for use outside the lab and factory floor applications.
The LE cameras offer a compact, economic design in a 41 x 41 x 25.4 mm durable plastic housing and it weighs 32 g.
The cameras are also available in board level versions and are equipped for use in laboratories and OEM applications. For machine vision and inspection applications, it offers interchangeable lenses.
