AKRON, Ohio, April 6, 2022 — UV-Curing Silicone AdhesivesThe UV-Activated Dual-Cure Silicone Series from Shin-Etsu Silicones of America Inc. includes KER-4410 and KER-4440 UV-curing silicone adhesives for automotive sensors.

After UV irradiation, it takes 10 to 15 min. at 23 °C until KER-4410 and KER-4440 starts to cure. It is also possible to bond the base material after UV irradiation, which makes it suitable for bonding nontransparent material to overcome shadow cure areas. KER-4410 provides a hardness of A10, tensile strength of 2.3, and elongation of 250. KER-4440 provides a hardness of A43, tensile strength of 6.1 and elongation of 430.
