Broadband Coatings
Teledyne Acton OpticsRequest Info
Two broadband optical coatings provide UV reflectivity while maintaining high reflectance up to the mid-infrared (MIR) wavelength range.
Offered by Acton Optics & Coatings, part of Princeton Instruments Inc., the coatings are made of silver rather than aluminum, which has drawbacks in terms of reflectivity and absorption.
The #4000 and #4100 coatings overcome the inherent reflectivity limitation of silver below 450 nm and deliver high levels of broadband reflectivity (typically >98 percent) from 400 nm to the MIR.
The #4000 coating is tailored to applications that require the highest reflectance in the UV, while the #4100 exhibits strong broadband-UV performance.
Applications include military optics, telescopes, spaceflight hardware, analytical instruments and ultrafast Ti:sapphire lasers.
