TAMPA, Fla., April 22, 2013 — The Silver-Nova spectrometer from StellarNet Inc. has a ruggedized metal enclosure with a fiber optic input for spectroscopy applications in the 190- to 1110-nm wavelength range.

The spectrograph employs composite grating technology to deliver high efficiency in the UV and near-infrared spectral regions. The UV-enhanced CCD detector with integrated thermoelectric cooler, gain enhancements and optical lens assemblies allows for sensitivity with greater than 65% increased signal to noise ratio at long exposures. The compact unit also delivers 1-nm resolution with a 25-µm slit for portable, process or laboratory environments.

The spectrometer includes the company’s SpectraWiz software suite, including 64/32-bit Windows drivers with customizable programs for LabView, VBA for Excel, VB, C++ and Delphi Pascal. It can be configured for spectroradiometry, spectrochemistry, optical metrology and Raman applications.
