FARUM, Denmark, Dec. 9, 2014 — The Freedom UV-VIS spectrometer platform from Ibsen Photonics covers visible and ultraviolet spectra. Intended for integrators of analytical and process control instruments, the spectrometer uses a new transmission grating to provide nearly constant diffraction efficiency 190 to 850 nm for both polarizations.

The device comes in three standard variants: a low-cost, front-illuminated CCD; a low-noise back-thinned CCD; or a high-sensitivity CMOS.
