Masterbond_uv10med_lr.jpgUV10MED, a one-component, low-viscosity, optically clear UV-curable adhesive, is available from Master Bond Inc. The compound is USP Class VI-approved and is recommended for use in medical device manufacturing. It adheres to metals, glass, ceramics and most plastics, has chemical resistance properties and is resistant to many types of sterilants. It has a service operating temperature range of –60 to 250 °F. Suitable for applications where there is a small clearance between the bonding surfaces, it has a rapid cure speed upon exposure to a UV lamp, a tensile strength of >4000 psi and a Shore D hardness of >60.
