OYSTER BAY, N.Y., July 29, 2010 — Universe Kogaku America adds to its existing line of quartz lenses a 12-mm lens with iris and focus lock for imaging applications in the nonvisible light spectrum.

Available from stock in a wide range of focal lengths, the UV1228CM f/2.8 ultraviolet lenses are well suited to forensic, industrial, scientific and other imaging applications.

The company designed and manufactured the lenses as a reasonably priced solution to the growing need for imaging in other than the visible spectrum. The broad transmission range of the quartz elements extends well into the infrared as well.
