Unveiled by Oculus Photonics LLP, the UVCorder is a portable digital near-UV camcorder that is designed for viewing scenes in real time on a 3.5-in. LCD and for quick and easy acquisition of near-UV digital video and stills. Mounted atop a commercial camcorder from which it draws its power, it is suitable for use in indoor and outdoor applications. It offers enhanced UV response in the 300- to 400-nm range, with peak response at 370 nm. Applications include forensics, building inspection, UV laser alignment, dermatology, dentistry, biological research, camouflage detection and industrial surface inspection tasks.
