WALTHAM, Mass., Oct. 1, 2015 — UV LED Curing SystemExcilitas Technologies Corp. has announced the OmniCure AC8225-F UV LED fiber-curing system with high irradiance for rapid curing and reduced power consumption.

The air-cooled system is designed to cure fiber optic coatings. It features front-end optics, 12-W/cm2 peak irradiance and exceptional uniformity at a 10- to 18-mm working distance. Output can be adapted to support application requirements.

Compared with traditional arc lamp systems, the system reduces electricity consumption by up to 60 percent, delivering cost savings without compromising line speed.
