The 150-kHz PicoFlash 355-nm UV laser from Teem Photonics has applications in eye surgery. The laser is based on a master oscillator fiber amplifier architecture, enabling users to vary the pulse energy or peak power and the repetition rate independently of each other while the pulse width remains constant. The device combines pulse duration of 750 ps with high repetition rates. The specially engineered laser head features low power dissipation and a small form factor. The company supplies passively Q-switched microlasers that produce picosecond-class pulses, now at repetition rates of up to 150 kHz and peak powers that can exceed 200 kW.
