The next generation of low-cost Matrix ns-pulsed UV lasers from Coherent Corp. are designed for high-contrast marking applications in various industries such as consumer goods, industrial electronics, home appliances, and packaging.

The lasers are diode-pumped solid-state lasers that offer economical, high-marking quality. The lasers are available in 5- and 10-W output power and operate at a pulse repetition rate of 50 to 300 kHz. With >15,000 hours of maintenance-free operation, they provide reliable, high-volume production for environmentally sustainable plastic marking.
