OLCHING, Germany, March 13, 2015 — Polymicro Technologies FDPPolymicro Technologies LLC has developed the FDP line of solarization-resistant optical fibers for UV applications.

The stabilization of the fiber material’s 214- and 265-nm absorption bands creates new opportunities in biomedical diagnostics, minimally invasive surgery or medical sensor technology in humans.

The multimode fibers have a core diameter between 50 and 1000 μm and are available at different UV grades. Fibers for the single-mode UV range are also available.

Laser Components GmbH is the distributor in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
