Roithner Lasertechnik offers UV photodiodes based on GaP technology with active areas of 0.5, 1.2, 4.8 and 10.9 mm2. Compared with Si photodiodes, these devices have better signal-to-noise ratios and temperature stability. They also have low dark current, good linearity and short switching times, and reject visible wavelengths well without the need for high-pass filters. These photodiodes, which are sensitive down to 130 nm, are available in hermetically sealed TO-46, TO-39 or SMT packages.
