WESTBURY, N.Y., Nov. 20, 2015 — UV Viewing CabinetSpectronics Corp. has announced the Spectroline CX-20 high-intensity UV viewing cabinet.

The device combines separate 8-W longwave- and shortwave-ultraviolet light sources with uniquely designed specular aluminum reflectors to assure maximum intensity and high fluorescent contrast. An internal 25-W light bulb provides visible illumination. Soft rubber curtains allow easy entrance to the device's interior while shielding external light.

The darkroom can be used with larger samples, and has a removable bottom panel that can be placed over 20 × 20-cm gels or a Spectroline UV transilluminator to provide greater illumination. Its housing is made of vinyl-clad aluminum and a flexible, contoured viewing eyepiece with a UV-absorbing window, eliminating blue haze interference and increasing contrast between the fluorescent area and background.
