CHESHAM, England, April 3, 2017 — UV Zoom LensA UV zoom lens from Resolve Optics Ltd. enables the safe, remote viewing of nuclear fuel assemblies through 10 m of water.

The lens is designed to optimally operate from 10 to 55 ºC. Miniature motors allow accurate remote setting of both zoom and focus functions. A filter slide enables the lens to be switched between UV and VIS without the need to refocus.

Using a telescopic focus, the lens is able to image objects from 13 m to infinity with optical correction for 10 m of water. The lens achieves high image resolution with low distortion throughout the zoom range. Top-siding adjustment allows the motor cables to be conveniently positioned. A lockable C-mount ensures that the lens does not loosen during operation.
