The Paladin Compact UV laser produced by Coherent
Inc. delivers 2-W, 355-nm quasi-CW output with a 120 ±2-MHz repetition rate. When
operated between 10 Hz and 2 MHz, it has less than 1% rms noise. The laser has a
216 x 127 x 686-mm head, a 482 x 177 x 505-mm power supply and a 5-m-long pump fiber.
Available in water- and air-cooled versions, it is designed for microelectronics
and for bioinstrumentation applications such as flow cytometry.
