Ultra-Compact Fiber LasersYLR-U 1-μm fiber lasers from IPG Photonics Corp. are industrial-grade kW-class, continuous-wave ytterbium systems.

At 4 kW, YLR-U lasers include rack-mounted, mid-power lasers with a high-peak power option. They can operate in the harshest of environments, including >90% relative humidity, due to a hermetically sealed rack design. Industrial pump diode packaging technology is available, along with a variety of remote-control options including Analog, RS-232, Ethernet, or built-in self-diagnostics with Internet connectivity.

The ultra-compact lasers are designed to handle a variety of metal cutting, welding, and drilling applications.
