The second generation of Alliance Fiber Optic Products' compact CWDM (coarse wavelength division multiplexing) MUX/demux (multiplex/demultiplex) module now features not only the smallest footprint for a CWDM product, but also the lowest insertion loss -- as low as 1 dB for an 8-channel module.

The ultracompact CWDM has simplified fiber routing that allows all fiber to come from the same side of the device. In addition, the proven free-space optical layout in this design ensures a rugged product with excellent performance across the extended temperature ranges required in today’s deployments.
