Ultrafast Oscillators and IR SourcesMKS Instruments Inc. announces the introduction of its Spectra-Physics Element 2, a family of high-performance ultrafast oscillators, and the 60-W pumped Spirit-NOPA-VISIR, a high-energy ultrafast IR source for bioimaging.

The new Element 2 delivers ultrashort pulses, down to few-cycle pulse durations, with outstanding stability and optional carrier envelope phase stabilization for ultrafast research applications including attosecond science.

Spirit-NOPA-VISIR is pumped with 60 W from the recently introduced Spirit 1030-70 outputs up to twice the energy of competitive products for three-photon, live-tissue imaging in neuroscience and other ultrafast scientific applications.
