SAXONBURG, Pa., Oct. 22, 2018 — Uncooled Pump LasersII-VI Inc. has announced compact 400- and 500-mW, uncooled, 980-nm pump lasers.

The three-pin micropumps and eight-pin mini-DIL pump lasers achieve 400 mW and 500 mW, respectively, enabling the next generation of coherent transceivers.

The devices will enable emerging applications in 5G and lidar while setting new standards in miniaturization.
