PROVIDENCE, R.I., Aug. 10, 2016 — Mahr Federal Inc. has announced the MarShaft SCOPE 600 plus 3D class 1 universal gear tester for fast, accurate analysis of gear and gear tool applications with gear overdrives up to 400 mm.

Combining optical and touch sensors in the same unit, the MarShaft SCOPE 600 plus provides 3D functionality and complete inspection of the workpiece in a single measurement. The matrix camera optically measures characteristics such as diameter, length, radius, shape and location characteristics in seconds while a 2D sensor detects features that are not optically measurable such as cam lift on concave cam profiles and reference features such as holes or keyways.

Equipped for stand-alone shop floor or gear lab applications, the MarGear GMX 400 can be fully networked for the fast and efficient transfer of measuring results and machine corrections.
