Newport Corp. has announced the XPS-RL universal motion controller for up to four axes.
Based on the XPS platform, the controller has a newly designed graphical user interface, single-click stage configuration and transmission control protocol/internet protocol autodetection. Plug-and-play compatibility recognizes stage-control connection. All operating parameters are determined automatically without the need for user inputs, avoiding misconfigurations and ensuring safe stage operation.
The controller includes preconfigured and user-definable motion profiles to optimize the performance and simplify the use of advanced features like line-arc trajectories, splines, contouring or complex position-velocity-time trajectories.
