VIBRATION CONTROL Kinetic Systems Inc. has released the Model 2212, a portable vibration control system with flatness of ±0.004 in. over 24 x 24 in. The vibration-free platform is designed to enhance the performance of atomic force microscopes, profilometers and other precision instruments. It is cleanroom-compatible and available in four table sizes up to 24 x 36 in., with load capacities up to 450 lb. The platform weighs from 130 to 160 lb and can be provided with mounting holes with the company's Spillpruf design, which seals off rows of holes to protect the honeycomb core from spills.
