A frame grabber that acquires four video streams simultaneously in real time is available from Euresys. The 64-bit 66-MHz Picolo Tetra's three extension brackets enable the management of quick switching from up to 16 cameras. It has 13 onboard general-purpose I/O TTL lines to trigger image capture or to interface with an alarm system. The device can be used for video surveillance applications, such as PC-based multiple-channel VCRs in the security market, and for monitoring production lines in the industrial market. System integrators will benefit from the watchdog feature for fault-tolerant applications and from the easy-to-use standard connectors.
